Reading stories with children fires their imagination and helps to develop speech and early literacy skills. Reading comprehension is developed through the retelling of stories, increasing memorization. Through the use of the story based felt pieces children have visual reminders of what they hear.
For families that already have a felt board, this kit includes a story book, felt story pieces, and coordinating activity sheets. While this kit was designed with speech therapy in mind, parents can also use the kit for imaginative play and at home learning. We offer a kit for each storybook listed.
